all about the imp
Interactive Media Productions, Inc., opened its doors for the first time in 2006. It was truly part of a midlife crisis. The owner decided to throw off the bonds of 9 to 5, Monday through Friday so he could open a computer consulting business. As you can imagine, in the business environment at the time, his salary plummetted, he was working harder than ever, but he was enjoying it more. Years later, the same can be said.
IMP was founded with one basic principal. Treat all customers fairly and honestly. That means give the customer the highest degree of service possible and help solve their problems as quickly as possible with as little interference as possible. To many consulting companies come into an office with an attitude of we know everything there is to know about everything. At IMP, we freely admit, we don't know everything. As a matter of fact, the amount of stuff we do not know is staggering. If we come across something we don't know, we will tell you, and then we will find out. It is that simple. We want to get the job done for you, quickly, easily, with as little pain as possible.
Background of the IMP
IMP's founder, Gary Govanus, likes to joke that he has been working with computers since God created dirt. That may not be entirely accurate, but he has been working with PC's for as long as Bill Gates has been wearing pocket protectors. He actually started supporting PC's before Microsoft had an operating system. So, if he says, "Been there, done that, got the tee shirt" he means it.
Gary's wife Bobbi decided early on that she must have a guiding hand in this business. She started with titles. Gary is officially referred to as Chief Geek. He is OK with that. As a geek, Gary is much more comfortable with computers than other aspects of business, so Bobbi appointed herself the Marketing Maven, and she fills that position well. That is it, just the two of them, unless of course, there is the need for the Pro's From Dover. In that case, we can turn to the hundreds of professionals we know around the country to help us out in a tight spot. It a business plan that has worked well.
What is it, exactly, that the IMP does?
We help you manage technology. If you need it, we help you buy it. If you can't install it, we can. If it breaks, we fix it. If it does not work the way you want it to, we try to customize it for you. That covers a lot of ground! We do all sorts of support; computer, software, training, multimedia, web design and even some consulting.
